Throughout her professional career Leah found a strong need for additional support, assistance, and evidence based education from patients and friends regarding pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding support and care of the newborn. She desired to spend more time with her patients by providing in-home support through professional consulting. Leah also has three wonderful children of her own, Amelia, Ellis, and Evan.
Leah keeps up-to-date on current research and prepares new and expectant mothers and fathers for their journey into parenthood through her warmth and genuine nature. She provides families just what they need to feel at ease with the changes a new baby brings. She has built an amazing team to help support, guide, educate, and empower families during pregnancy and beyond.
Katie has a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences and a Master’s degree in Health Studies. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), teaching prenatal breastfeeding classes and providing one-on-one support for new moms. But she really just loves helping parents-to-be navigate the overwhelming, but sweet, world of babies — and making sure they have the support they need to meet their goals. Katie has one sweet daughter, Claire, in heaven and two kiddos here, Avery and Charlie!
In her free time, Randi loves spending time with her 2 fur babies, trying new restaurants, working out, and enjoying weekends on the lake with her fiancé. She looks forward to becoming a mom in the future!
Labor and Postpartum Doulas
Her journey in birth work began in 2007 with the first pregnancy in her group of friends. She had mentioned wanting a midwife and Lacey started researching. She had caught the birth bug and was hooked! The idea of women helping women made her heart happy. Over the years, She has had the opportunity to be an apprentice midwife at several freestanding birth centers; labor support for homebirths, birth center and hospital clients in Round Rock and surrounding areas, and recently certified as a CBE and Doula with Birth Boot Camp.
She has been married to her partner, Danny, since April 2008. He has supported her through this journey and is a great partner. Lacey is a mom to two beautiful little girls, Annie and Jane. Both of her births took place in her home accompanied by a midwife, my very first midwifery preceptor. She breastfed both of her babies for 2 years, tandem for 6 months. That was such a wonderful and bonding experience.
Lacey wants to provide the best care to each mother who trusts her with their birth experience, whether that be in hospital or at home. She believes that having a positive birth experience is the right of every woman. She will strive to help each mother and baby have a special delivery.
With over 17 years of experience in massage and bodywork, she integrates these skills into her practice, emphasizing the importance of physical comfort and relaxation in childbirth. Her approach is centered around creating a loving, caring, healing, and supportive connection with my clients. She firmly believes that communication and trust are the cornerstones of a successful birthing experience.
As a gentle, loving, and grounded individual, she is also unafraid to stand firm for what is right, advocating fiercely for the needs and rights of her clients.
Beyond her professional role, Amanda is a mother of four in a blended family and a proud grandmother, endearingly known as ‘Mimi.’ Her ultimate goal is to provide a holistic and empowering childbirth experience, fostering a space where mothers are supported, informed, and at peace.
Her journey to birth work began after the birth of her first daughter when she realized the transformative power of making moms aware of their birthing options, and fully supporting them physically and emotionally through the process of pregnancy, delivery, and beyond. Having a positive birth experience can impact moms for a lifetime, and Taylor is thankful to be able to help women and their families have that experience.
In her free time Taylor loves exploring the Barton Creek Greenbelt with her four kids and husband, Landon; taking road trips to the mountains, and baking sourdough bread. She also loves playing music with Landon and enjoys getting their kiddos involved as they sing and play guitar and piano.
After 15 years of helping families mostly overnight she has experienced a range of newborn and infant sleep, sleep challenges and parenting styles. After seeing first hand how simple changes can often lead to huge sleep improvements she was inspired to become a Sleep Consultant. We all know the importance of sleep on our physical, mental and emotional health and the effects of not getting enough. She works with families to create a plan that takes into account their parenting style, their sleep goals and their baby’s temperament. Her resources and coaching support help families make improvements in their children’s sleep.
Shelby has over 20 years experience with families, mothers, and children. She has worked as a nanny, a nanny for multiples, a birth doula, and now a postpartum doula trained through DONA International. She is also raising her 3 children. Shelby especially loves daytime support with families. This creates an opportunity to provide a variety of services to help new moms and dads adjust and thrive with a new baby. Some of these include breastfeeding support, newborn care, meal prep, babywearing, sibling care, sleep support, guidance, and holding space. Her biggest joy is to mother the mother and help families feel supported and confident in this next stage of life.
When she’s not working with new parents, Shelby enjoys dancing, volunteering and finding new ways to give back to her community, and lounging outside in a hammock with her children. Shelby believes that supporting families during the postpartum period is one of the most important things we can do to create a better world.
In 2019, she became a DONA trained Birth Doula, and obtained certifications in: Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), Postpartum Doula (PPD), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CPR, First Aid, and trained in Benkung Belly Binding.
She has had the pleasure of supporting parents with their newborns during both daytime and nighttime shifts. She has provided care for families across different states, families with multiples, parents with disabilities, and supported births in both hospitals and birth centers. Nia learned to be more understanding, open to new ideas, and sensitive in different situations. It’s everything she thought it would be and more.
Nia still finds the time to be a supportive wife to her husband, homeschool her son, sing, brush up on Spanish, and even play pickleball. She hopes to support as many families as she can while enjoying this adventure. She looks forward to hopefully being a part of your family’s journey!
In Tammy’s free time she enjoys spending time with her family and loved ones and her hobbies include reading, hiking, fishing, and tennis. Janette has been all over the United States as a RN postpartum/ newborn travel nurse, providing her the opportunity to care for many postpartum families from all walks of life and social situations. Outside of supporting new families, Janette loves spending time with her family, gardening, traveling the US, cooking, and catching a football game on the weekend! Janette would be honored to meet your family.
Bonus for exhausted families: Laura LOVES cooking and nutrition and truly enjoys preparing nurturing, healing, and delicious foods beneficial for the postpartum period. She looks forward to providing your family non-judgmental, unbiased, and loving support and care!
My undergraduate studies were in Communication, and I have also completed teacher certification training for Early Childhood through 6th grade. My classroom experience includes preschool (3s/4s) through middle school, as well as home-schooling my own children.
My niche is in caring for newborns and helping parents establish a sleep routine as a postpartum doula, however, I enjoy working with children of all ages. I especially love the enthusiasm of toddlers and believe in learning through play, experimentation, and role-playing.
